This project is for a family who wants to finish their basement. They're adding in a kitchen with a TV centered on the back wall of perimeter cabinets. Having no window, a TV can make up for the loss of light and focus. They've also chosen to have thick floating shelves to display their specialty glasses and bottles. The shelves will have puck lights installed underneath to really light up their collection. They've chosen shaker cabinet door styles in a dark finish, with some textured glass inserts and a light colored granite countertop to contrast with the dark wood. To add texture and customization, they're using a stacked stone backsplash that gives the kitchen a luxurious feel.
